Bokaro (Khaber Aajtak) : The new academic session (2024-25) of DPS Bokaro commenced with a special assembly and cultural extravaganza on Monday. A sense of elation and anticipation filled the air as the entire school gathered to embark on a new journey of learning and growth in the Ashwaghosh Kala Kshetra of the school. The assembly commenced with prayer followed by Ganesh Vandana.
The attraction of the day was the mesmerizing cultural programme. It was a true blend of traditional values and contemporariness. The group song was sung on the theme of ‘unity and peace’. The foot-tapping fashion show highlighting the beauty of diversity spellbound the audience and the power-packed dance on ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ stirred the assembly, helping children to develop a deeper connection with their inner selves.
After the cultural programme, the students were introduced to the new teachers, in-charges and house wardens followed by the felicitation of class toppers and subject toppers who were awarded with Proficiency Prizes and Marker Cups respectively.
On this occasion, the annual planner of the school on the theme ‘Indigenous Crafts’ was released and students who contributed to it with their artistic excellence were also acknowledged.
Dr. A. S. Gangwar, the Principal, welcomed everyone and appreciated their high spirits and enthusiasm. He encouraged students to embrace new challenges, set ambitious goals and be kind and welcoming to new classmates. He said that success does not come easy. It takes hard work, perseverance and a willingness to learn. “If you are focussed and put sincere effort, you will achieve all your goals”, he added.
