Bokaro (Khaber Aajtak) : In pursuit of fostering holistic development among students, Delhi Public School, Bokaro organized a two-day adventure camp for the students of primary wing on 12 & 13 March 2024. This unique event witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 500 students ranging from classes III to V, who not only actively engaged but also showcased their prowess in a myriad of activities including body zorbing, laser beam challenges, commando crawls, double rope bridges, tug of war, commando net traverses, trampolining etc.
Under the guidance of skilled trainers, children enthusiastically tackled activities like rope traversing, navigating through cobweb-like structures, maneuvering through intricate cave systems, finding their way through challenging terrains, scaling with ropes and creating pathways through riverbanks using stones. Their spirited participation added to the excitement of the camp.
Emphasizing the significance of such camps, Dr. A.S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro highlighted ,” through diverse extracurricular activities like these, we try to instill courage in children from a young age and prepare them to face adverse and challenging situations, thereby inspiring them to strive for excellence.” “I hope that the adventure camp not only provided a platform for students to showcase their physical skills but also nurtured their mental resilience and emotional fortitude, laying a foundation for their holistic growth and development”, he added.
